One of big the reasons that I love living in Fort Collins, is the overall unique culture that can’t be found anywhere else, as well as being among people who share very similar lifestyles to myself. For example, finding other females who enjoy toking up just as much as I do is pretty common here in Colorado, however is not quite the case when thinking about the other places that I’ve lived. Keeping this in mind, it’s awesome to see events happening in town that are not only representative of Fort Collins’ culture, but that also appeal to certain groups of people that might not be able to find the same sense of community in another location or area.
An upcoming event that fits perfectly into the category that I’m explaining, is an informative cannabis session, happening on Wednesday, July 20, and being hosted by Women& Inc. As you can guess, this inaugural Women&Weed event is open to women in our community, and was created as a way to bring them together in a safe environment to discuss and learn about marijuana. A few of the topics that will be touched upon will be demystifying purchasing, weed’s effect on the body, as well as general consumption. There won’t be any actual weed consumption going on, but rather and evening filled with education, connection, and ideas of well-being. The meeting will take place from 6-8 p.m. in the Agave Room at the Rio Grande Restaurant in Old Town, and guests must be 21-years of age or older to attend.
Tickets are $25 and include a famous Rio margarita, chips, salsa, queso, and guacamole, and a gift bag full of goodies and coupons from sponsors worth over $50. Plus, ladies in attendance will have ample opportunity to connect with other entrepreneurial and professional women, and get completely educated about cannabis from leading female entrepreneurs in the Colorado marijuana industry. A cash bar will also be available.
