Mob Boss is what I like to call a well-rounded strain. Besides having both a deliciously pungent smell and taste, this sativa-dominant (a 60:40 ratio) hybrid strain is one of the prettiest to look at too. Bred from ChemDawg x Tang Tang males out of California, the leaves of Mob Boss plants are loaded with trichomes, giving them the frosty and super crystallized appearance. The buds are also extremely dense and usually quite green compared to other strains.
When it comes to flavor, you can expect an earthy taste with some floral and citrus-y hints to it. The Tang Tang provides the citrus taste while the Chem D is responsible for giving it that skunky, more herbal flavor. It’s really a perfectly balanced blend when it comes to hybrid strains and very easy and smooth to smoke. I will say that the after taste is especially prevalent as well, and while I am not so much of a fan of this, it also doesn’t leave the mouth super dry either, so that’s a positive trait and something that I do really appreciate as a connoisseur. You’ll notice that you get some thick smoke from this bad boy too, although it’s very light when it comes to actually smoking it. The aroma is very similar to how it tastes, but maybe just a bit sweeter.
Mob Boss is pretty potent, and you will definitely feel the effects after just a few hits. It is mostly a head high, providing a calmness, yet still allowing you to be productive and functional because of its sativa roots. Whether you start or end your day with this strain, it’s great for those who want to chill out after work or for those who are seeking a boost of energy to get them going. Mob Boss is also a great strain to smoke before doing something social, as it makes you very chatty and euphoric– also nice for those with anxiety and depression. A favorite among many cannabis enthusiasts, and gaining increasing popularity in Colorado especially, Mob Boss is one of the most uplifting strains that overall provides just a great sense of well-being and a nice, consistent buzz.
You can find Mob Boss at Infinite Wellness Center in Fort Collins on both the medical and recreational sides and also at the Boulder Wellness Center. Infinite even has it placed under their top tier, indicating it as one of their best strains available, but also more pricey than some. Make sure to give this strain a shot next time you get the chance, it’s sure to be a beautiful experience in more ways than one!
