California Zephyr Accosted
There are a lot of strange things going on in the country at present when it comes to government interaction with the public.
This may be the most bizarre. The Drug Enforcement Agency, so desperate to justify their existence, has been accosting AMTRAK passengers, as if they don’t have enough issues with travel, for having the gall to book a sleeper section to themselves without checking baggage.
So your choices for travel at this point are harassment and possible molestation by an incompetent Transportation Security Agency or harassment and possible theft by an incompetent DEA. Pick your poison. Keeping in mind of course, neither agency has justified their existence with any substantive evidence of success.
Weed Heavily Inspiring Progress In Technology … Good
California needs to start paying attention to what’s going on with weed production. There are beautiful things happening in Agriculture and aquaponics. Both are crucial to saving energy and water.
Fort Collins has a couple of projects taking place in the area, but this story in particular, illuminates the advancement occurring as a result of decriminalization. Check it out.
Incidentally, if you haven’t yet, you should consider buying an Aerogarden to experiment with growing your own culinary herbs and starter plants for garden or other purposes. We got one for Christmas and let me just say, we’ll never need to buy basil or cilantro again. The potential alternative uses are incredible.
There’s an awful lot of good taking place because of the decriminalization of cannabis. Keep it right here and we’ll do our best to keep you informed on the interesting, the irritating (looking at you New Jersey) and the integral.
