It was just yesterday that plans were completely up in the air regarding the Denver 420 Rally, and whether or not it would be rescheduled to a different date, and possibly also to a different venue, upon being cancelled on April 16. Organizers and sponsors of the event were even beginning the process of refunding rally-goers who had purchased special access tickets, but now, it seems the rally is back on, and previous tickets will still be honored for the later date.
Despite other venues being taken into consideration, the rescheduled rally will still be happening at Civic Center Park – this time on May 21, just about a month after the original event was set to take place. Ironically, it was government officials who allowed for the fest to still happen at Civic Center Park, which is literally steps away from the State Capitol. Both Wiz Khalifa and Lil Wayne are still on board to co-headline the May 21 Rally, along with other performances that will open for them. General admission is free during the event, and tickets are also still being sold for the “limited premiere viewing access” in front of the stage. A benefit that rally organizers did get out of the postponement, is more time to plan for a bigger and better event.
